ABOUT US
The American Huffazh Association (TAHA) is a non-profit organization which aims to provide assistance and networking opportunities to students and graduates of Qur’anic memorization in the United States. It offers financial assistance to students who wish to attend a Qur’anic memorization or hifzh program, as well as to huffazh who wish to pursue further Islamic education. It provides other services and networking opportunities for Huffazh and their communities such as a mentorship program, annual conferences, a tarawih service network, huffazh support groups, and other programs and services.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The financial assistance will only apply after the student and the institute or school have been deemed eligible and approved by TAHA and the student has been interviewed by TAHA representatives.
Eligibility Requirements for Hifzh Students:
- Under the age of 18
- Plan to complete memorization in under 3 years
- Fluent in reading the Qur’an
- Show potential as a current and future community leader or mentor
- Show academic excellence and potential in all studies
- Maintain a steady memorization goal and grades throughout the study at the Hifzh School
Eligibility Requirements for students of Islamic Studies:
- Memorized the entire Qur’an
- Show potential as a future community leader or mentor
- Show academic excellence and potential in all studies
- Maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout the study at the educational institution

Mentorship Program
The mentorship program pairs new huffazh with more experienced huffazh, and allows new huffazh to seek advice, support, and encouragement from other American Muslim youth who have experienced similar challenges as they have. It enables experienced huffazh to help and inspire others and continue on the path of Da’wah and social activism they started when committing to memorizing the Qur’an.

Review and Support Groups
Huffazh have the opportunity to connect and network with other huffazh of similar backgrounds, interests, and areas, exchange experiences with them, participate in review or study sessions, organize social events, and engage in other educational and social activities to expand their horizons and get to know the other huffazh in their respective areas and across the country.

Tarawih Service Network
Communities will be able to contact TAHA if they need a hafizh to lead Tarawih Salah in Ramadan in their Masjid, and TAHA will coordinate with Hifzh Schools and connect communities with an available Imam.

Annual Huffazh Conference
TAHA will host an annual conference for Huffazh from around the country, allowing them to receive inspiration and knowledge from experienced huffazh and scholars, as well as revive their Muslim identities and motivate them to be active in their communities.

Ijazah Program
TAHA will connect qualified huffazh with experienced huffazh who have an ijazah in Qur’anic recitation to offer them the opportunity to pursue an ijazah under their instruction and guidance.

All donations to TAHA are used directly to support the cost of tuition for students studying under TAHA financial assistance scholarships and loans, and all management fees and other expenses incurred are paid by other sponsors.
TAHA is currently under review for application as a 501(c)(3) tax deductible nonprofit organization, and expects approval in the coming months.
